The new community hub facilities at Trinity Methodist Church provided the ideal venue to bring churches together to raise money for Christian Aid on Saturday 28 May 2022.
The Clitheroe Churches in Partnership group led by Geoff Holmes from Clitheroe United Reformed Church and Jenny Burnop from Trinity Methodist Church worked with the Coffee Stop volunteers who organise the monthly event on the last Saturday of each month.
Park runners led by Rev Andy Froud from St Mary’s Church were the first customers to enjoy a choice of toasted teacakes, bacon butties, tea and coffee. Free craft activities were provided for the children. There were also plant, cake and Fairtrade stalls and musical entertainment.
Rev Andy Froud said: ‘It was a great morning with a wonderful atmosphere.’
Trinity Hub Manager, Carol Baird said: ‘A huge thank you to all involved to make the event happen. It was wonderful for all the churches to work together.’
Geoff Holmes, Chair for Christian Aid in Clitheroe thanked everyone involved and particularly Trinity for organising the event.
The event raised over £600 for Christian Aid.
