BEAUTY is all around us, but we were really pleased to hear that Trinity’s Eco Champion Archie Whymark had been stopped in his tracks last weekend when a picture in the Hub Gallery’s exhibition grabbed his attention.

The latest display of artwork is by students from Gosha Gibeck art classes, and one resonated with Archie and his passion for nature.

He said: “They were all very good, but I was attracted to one in particular by Kay Jameson.

“It was entitled, Somewhere only we Know…. and was a simple sunlit woodland scene that reminded me of something Martin Luther said a long time ago, but is still true, “God writes the Gospel not in the Bible alone, but on the trees and flowers and clouds and stars.”

“That picture caught me by surprise and reminded me how beautiful our world is and how lightly we need to tread to preserve it.”
