INSPIRED BY HOCKNEY: The latest exhibition at Trinity’s Hub Gallery is bursting with colour, much like the work of the artist that inspired it.
‘A Year in Lancashire’ inspired by the David Hockney frieze ‘A Year in Normandie’ was created by Art4All, an organisation which holds art classes for disadvantaged adults and those with special needs.
Set up by Frankie Freeman-Ruddock in 2018, the classes also provide the opportunity for art therapy and the chance to interact socially.
Students enjoy the experience of trying out new types of artwork inspired by different artists. This exhibition at the Hub was inspired by a visit to Salts Mill in Saltaire to see the work of vibrant painter Hockney. The students followed this up with sessions painting seasonal landscapes around Clitheroe and Whalley.
For more information on Art4All visit www.ribble-valley-art4all.org.
The Hub Gallery is open to visitors from 10am to 3pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
