CHRISTIAN speaker and author Adrian Plass, and his wife Bridget, entertained a large audience at Trinity Methodist Church and Community Hub last week.
The evening was arranged by Men Behaving Gladly, primarily a men’s group, at Trinity Church as one of a series of talks during the winter.
Adrian and Bridget are both highly competent speakers and have travelled to many countries presenting talks about Christian values in a humorous but thoughtful way. They introduced many different scenarios, often very amusing, with a deep message towards the end.
Especially interesting were their illustrations on a commercial advertisement, an aspect of the law, a bible study and a lyric from a pop sing!
Adrian has written over 30 books and was happy to sign copies brought to the meeting by several members of the audience. Bridget has recorded frequently and can be found on YouTube and Facebook.
Bridget said they felt well received when they arrived for the talk and felt “at home” in Clitheroe as her father was born in Chatburn Road!
The next meeting of Men Behaving Gladly is on Thursday, April 20 when the speaker will be John Tomlinson on the topic “A Christians view of the connection between geography and citizenship”. New members will be welcome!
