TRINITY Drama Group are set to present Edward Murch’s one-act Easter play ‘No Name in the Street’ on Wednesday, April 5.
The story revolves around Holy Week and is dramatic and powerful in its simplicity. The events leading up to the Crucifixion are seen through the eyes of a mother searching for her son.
Several new members of Trinity’s Drama Group are in the cast and the play is being produced by Kate Walmsley for the first time.
Kate said: “We’ve created a modern interpretation of how people view and respond to the events leading up to Easter Sunday. Hopefully, audiences will be able to reflect on how, as humans, we react to major themes such as responsibility, judgement and loyalty.
“The cast have been brilliant to work with as they have all brought their own personalities and experiences into their characters. We’re all so excited to perform it.”
Presented with the support of Clitheroe Christians in Partnership, the play will start at 7.30pm with refreshments served after.
It is free to attend and no tickets are required, but donations will be welcomed.
WELL EARNED REST: The cast take a break from rehearsals.
