This year’s Easter celebrations provided a wonderful welcome to families.
There were Lent Reflections in the weeks up to Easter and a special Taize-style Maundy Thursday service, led by Rev Ian Humphreys and Rev Kathy Flynn.
On Good Friday a brief act of worship at the Castle Gates, was followed by service at St Mary’s and the walk of witness, which was accompanied by the wooden Clitheroe Churches in Partnership cross.
Easter morning worship with Rev Ian was held in church, and then continued outside on the terrace overlooking the park, where the congregation sang ‘Thine be the Glory’ and wished families out in the playground a very ‘Happy Easter’.
