Our harvest appeal is for the Ribble Valley Foodbank and the work they do at a time of growing need and challenge – at the harvest service we will pray for their work, and donations will be blessed – these can be dropped off at Trinity in the front foyer from 10.30-12 noon or 6-7pm on Thursday 24th September. Those who would rather give via the Tesco’s, Sainsburys or Booths collection points please do. Or – you can drop things directly to the warehouse in Clitheroe, which is open on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10am till 12 noon, and on a Friday from 9am till 11am. The warehouse is situated at Unit 2/3, Upbrooks, Clitheroe BB7 1PL (next door to Castle Motors). Please give in whatever way you can. The things most needed are: Fruit juice (long life carton), Sponge puddings, Tinned meat, Chocolate & snacks, Milk (UHT), Instant coffee, Sugar (500g), Tinned vegetables, Tinned fruit, Ketchup and brown sauce, Tinned custard, Jam/marmalade, Washing up liquid, washing powder, cleaning products, Toilet rolls, Toiletries.
We are also supporting the work of All We Can, the Methodist Church charity that works with some of the world’s poorest communities – they have an emergency Beirut appeal in the wake of the terrible explosion that devastated the city. They also have an appeal for Bicycles to alleviate poverty in Uganda – and we will hear a little more about this in our special service. ‘All We Can’ donations can be made via their web site: https://www.allwecan.org.uk/
