Sunday’s Service of Thanksgiving saw more than 90 people come out on a wet and windy evening to commemorative the lives of loved ones.
Rev Ian reflected on the power of remembering in our journey through grief. The names of more than 50 people were offered in advance of the service, and these were read out and candles lit in their name.
Madeline Adey, who runs a monthly Bereavement Group at Trinity, spoke a little about how the group provides a welcoming space to talk about grief and loss.
People could hang hearts on a memory tree and there was time for quiet and reflection.
After the service, a brew and a biscuit were served.
