Once our church was surrounded by areas of rough concrete and backed by a dark narrow wilderness, covered in leaf litter. But now it has been transformed.

However, any transformation did not happen by chance. The Trinity Eco Group had this vision in late 2022 of something better, that could enhance the church, be more eco-friendly and serve the local community, an Eco Community Garden. They commissioned a professional garden designer, Marion Barker, of Gardens of Grace, to “design” a garden for Trinity. The design was completed in February, 2023.

Now the Trinity Eco Community Garden includes plants, bird boxesbirdfeeders, a Bug Hotel, raised plant beds and a Living Wall, which continues to be established and improved thanks to the efforts of our lovely garden volunteers.

The Living Wall is a wall that is covered with plant growth, giving the appearance of a hedge made of several different types of plants. Ours was established and stocked thanks to the efforts of Jenny Griggs, a Senior Adviser at Natural England. However, once established it needs regular tending.
